Automotive inspections and assessments that protect your bottom line.
Forge Valuation Group delivers independent technical evidence on vehicle condition, mechanical failure, and value support, so lenders, claims administrators, fleets, and remarketers can make decisions on facts rather than assumptions.
Clear Insights. Smarter Decisions. Stronger Results.
Every vehicle decision is a financial decision. Most are made without the facts.
A shop estimate, a borrower's description, a claim narrative, or an auction condition grade is a starting point, not evidence. When capital, coverage, or disposition rides on what is actually true about a vehicle, someone independent has to look.
The risk
Approving more spend on a repair-facility balance, storage, transport, or recovery for collateral whose real condition and value support are unknown.
The Forge outcome
An independent Pre-Recovery Collateral Assessment that documents VIN, condition, diagnostics, drivability, repair needs, and value-support data before another dollar is committed.
The risk
Paying a mechanical-breakdown claim, or denying one, on the strength of a repair facility's diagnosis alone.
The Forge outcome
Independent failure verification with diagnostic evidence, measurements where appropriate, and documentation that supports the administrator's own coverage determination.
The risk
Absorbing end-of-term, damage, and maintenance exposure that was never documented while the vehicle was in service.
The Forge outcome
Consistent, comparable condition records across units and locations that support chargebacks, budgeting, and disposition timing.
The risk
Condition surprises after the hammer falls, arbitration exposure, and buyer distrust that compresses proceeds.
The Forge outcome
Pre-sale technical evaluations that let you represent vehicles accurately, price with confidence, and resolve disputes with evidence.
Inspection and assessment services, structured around the decision you have to make.
Automotive intelligence, not a mobile inspector with a clipboard.
Forge exists to give institutions a technical partner with no stake in the outcome. No repair revenue. No sales commission. No claim to settle. Only what the vehicle shows.
Independent by design
Forge does not perform repairs, sell vehicles, or make coverage, lending, repossession, or legal decisions. That separation is what makes the evidence usable.
Technically credible
Diagnostic scans, measurements, photographed and video-documented findings, and platform-specific knowledge across all makes with particular depth in European vehicles.
Built for institutions
Reference numbers, structured intake, consistent report formats, and a workflow designed to connect to your claims, recovery, or fleet systems.
Written for the decision-maker
Reports answer the question you actually have: what is wrong, what will it take, can it move, and what supports the value you are relying on.
A message written for your seat at the table.
Coverage throughout Ohio.
Assignments dispatched across Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Dayton, Toledo, Akron, and the counties between them. The platform is built to add states and regional landing pages as Forge expands.
Assign your first inspection, or open a vendor relationship.
Institutional assignments and consumer requests follow separate paths so each gets the intake it needs.
Services built around the decision, not the vehicle.
Each Forge engagement produces independent technical evidence, delivered in a format your organization can act on. Select the service that matches the question you need answered.
Consistent structure. Defensible findings.
- VIN verification and vehicle identification
- Documented physical condition, interior and exterior
- Mechanical and diagnostic findings with supporting scan data
- Photographs and video of relevant components
- Measurements where the finding requires them
- Drivability and operational status
- Repair-need summary as observed, without repair recommendations that create a conflict
- Value-support information when the engagement calls for it
Reports are delivered as a PDF with embedded photos, with video and raw diagnostic files supplied separately. Standard reports are typically delivered within two business days of the inspection; expedited handling is available on request.

Independent evidence for every organization that carries vehicle risk.
Forge serves institutions whose capital, coverage obligations, or operating budgets depend on what is true about a vehicle. Each industry page below is written for that organization's specific exposure.
Dealerships, businesses, and consumers.
Dealers use Forge for pre-sale technical evaluations and diagnostic verification on trade-ins and inventory. Businesses use Forge for vehicle purchases and dispute documentation. Consumers use Forge for pre-purchase and pre-loan inspections, with a dedicated intake path.
Coverage throughout Ohio.
Forge dispatches inspections across the state, from the major metropolitan markets to rural counties where collateral and claims often sit. The platform is architected to add states and regional pages as Forge expands.
Every county. One standard.
Whether the vehicle is at a franchise dealer in Columbus, an independent shop in Zanesville, an impound lot in Toledo, or a borrower's driveway in Portsmouth, the inspection and the report follow the same protocol.
Inspections are typically scheduled within one to three business days of assignment, subject to custodian access.
Inspections in your market.
Each market above is a placeholder for a dedicated local landing page (URL pattern: /coverage/ohio/<city>). Additional states follow /coverage/<state>/.

Independent technical evidence for organizations that cannot afford to guess.
Forge Valuation Group is an independent automotive inspection, assessment, and valuation-support company serving Ohio. Forge exists to help clients reduce risk, protect capital, verify claims, understand vehicle condition, and make better-supported financial and operational decisions.
A risk-management partner with an automotive skill set.
Most vehicle information reaching a lender, administrator, or fleet manager comes from someone with an interest in the outcome: the shop that wants the repair, the borrower who wants the vehicle back, the seller who wants the price. Forge sits outside that loop.
Forge inspects, diagnoses, measures, photographs, and documents. Forge does not repair, sell, finance, or adjust. The client keeps the decision. Forge supplies the facts the decision should rest on.
Forge works across all makes and models, with particular expertise in European platforms including Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Land Rover, Audi, Volkswagen, and Porsche, where diagnostic complexity and repair cost make independent verification most valuable.
How Forge works.
Independence
No repair revenue, no sales commission, no claim to settle. Findings are not shaped by who benefits from them.
Evidence
Every conclusion is tied to something observable: a scan, a measurement, a photograph, a video, a test result.
Scope discipline
Forge reports what it finds. It does not make coverage, lending, repossession, legal, or final valuation decisions unless that service is specifically authorized and supported.
People and qualifications.
Forge was founded in Columbus by professionals with backgrounds in automotive diagnostics, vehicle finance, and enterprise operations, built around a single conviction: the organizations carrying vehicle risk deserve evidence from someone with no stake in the outcome.
Every Forge inspector is vetted for hands-on diagnostic experience, platform-specific training, and report quality, and works to a single written inspection protocol. Forge maintains general liability and errors-and-omissions coverage; certificates of insurance are provided to business partners during vendor onboarding.
